The blaze happened in White Plains on Thursday afternoon, March 21, when flames ignited inside a room at a residence located at 131 South Broadway, according to the White Plains Fire Department.
Arriving crews took an aggressive approach to the fire to keep it in the room where it began and stop it from spreading to the attic space and upper floors.
Although firefighters had initially received reports that some residents were trapped inside, luckily, no one was found inside the building during the fire.
No injuries were reported, firefighters said. The cause of the blaze was not released.
